Pakistan People’s Party will not leave the people alone; will protest against inflation
Lodhran - Former Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition in Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has expressed his condolence to the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Raja Praksa on Sialkot tragedy and urged the government to punish those responsible for the incident so that heirs of the deceased get justice.
Gilani said, “The PTI government has made the election controversial before the elections. The PPP and the united opposition have rejected the proposal for EVM machines. Inflation in the country is being done on IMF terms and conditions and accepted by mortgaging the State Bank. Every day after the budget, the rulers announced a mini-budget.” During a media interaction in Lodharan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that inflation was rising every day. Due to rising inflation, poor people are being forced to sell children and commit suicides, so where should the poor people go in such conditions? “We prevented the rulers from mortgaging the state bank, but they did not agree, and today the entire nation is watching what the situation is going to be,” he added.
Gilani said, “Due to economic misery, we have reached on the brink of destruction, but the voices of stability of the country’s economy are echoing from the government. Today everything is clear, the dollar price is rising, rupee depreciation is causing state of starvation.” “Pakistan People’s Party will not leave the people alone and on December 10th and 17th the PPP will protest against inflation,” he concludes.
