Split in MQM-P over distribution of Senate tickets

The Muthida Qoumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has once against split on issue of distribution of Senate election tickets to be held on March 3. 

According to details, during a meeting of coordination committee meeting, the party head Farooq Sattar and senior leader Amir Khan had fierce argument over handing ticket to Kamran Tessori. 

Most of party senior leaders were not in favour of nomination of Tessor. After having confrontation with Khan, Sattar left for his residence and called a meeting of senior leaders. 

As some leaders including Kamran Tessori reached his residence, Farooq Sattar conducted a press conference late at night stating that he will not accept to be a powerless and dummy party head. 

Meanwhile, the coordination committee also conducted a press conference and told media that committee has decided to nominate Nasreen Jalil along with Bashir Qaimkhani, Dr Farogh Nasim, Amir Khan, Naimul Haq and Karam Tessori. 

Senior leader Khalid Siddique said that Sattar wanted to "sacrifice" two of top four contenders for Mr. Tessori. 

Furthermore, Farooq Sattar has called for e meeting of party workers and senior leadership at KMC ground. "I will reveal numbers of secrets at that meeting," he said in a video message.
