ISLAMABAD   -  Secretary General PML-N, Ahsan Iqbal Friday said that the PM and Foreign Minister didn’t pursue any active and proactive diplomacy after 5 August Indian action. He demanded of the Imran Khan government to answer 12 questions in the context of Kashmir Day as he lamented the government’s ‘inaction’ over the Kashmir issue. In a press statement, the PL-N leader asked why Imran Khan had to tweet for Modi’s victory after Modi put annexation of Kashmir part of his election manifesto? He said what proactive steps did Khan’s government take after J&K BJP President announced on 27 May 2019 that the BJP government is going for J&K annexation? “What did IK do after India moved 180,000 additional troops to the most militarised region J&K in the world?” he posed another question to say that Imran government did nothing to resolve the Kashmir issue. He said why the government failed to take notice of Indian National Security Advisor Doval’s visit of J&K in July 2019 to finalise preparations for annexation act and didn’t do anything? The other questions include what did Govt do after Indian authorities started evacuating all tourists form the valley in July 2019 which was a clear signal of things to come?, what did PM say to President Trump to sensitize him about Modi’s designs in J&K? Seems either he didn’t say anything, or made weak case or became part of some deal? Iqbal said after 5 August Indian action, why the PM and foreign minister didn’t pursue any active and proactive diplomacy? “Why PM didn’t visit a single friendly country to muster support while Indian PM was proactive and made several visits to solicit support of international community?, was another question put by the PML-N leader to the Imran govt. The PML-N leader continued to say as to why the Foreign Minister instead of visiting foreign capitals spent most of the time addressing media in the company of his mureeds in his home town?

He said the foreign minister should have visited capitals of all Security Council member states and leading OIC member states by now on single point of Kashmir. He said how can any patriotic Pakistani remain silent about this gross negligence if not a sellout.
