LAHORE-Chaudhry Omar Saeed on Friday elected president of the Punjab Squash Association (PSA) for the next four-year term.
According to former PSA Secretary Sheeraz Saleem, the PSA elections were held under the chair of former PSA President Dr Nadeem Mukhtar, where all the representatives as well as Pakistan Squash Federation’s Air Commodore Aftab Qureshi and Sports Board Punjab’s Hafeez Bhatti were also present. The election commission, comprising former Olympian Tauqeer Dar, Faisal Mir and Noumam Kabeer, conducted the elections in a fair and transparent manner.
Former PSA Chief Dr Nadeem presented last four-year report to the house, which applauded the great work done by the previous body for the promotion of squash in Punjab. After that, Ch Omar Saeed, younger brother of Arif Saeed and Director Servis Tyres, was unanimously elected as president and Tariq Siddique as secretary. The house hoped that Punjab squash will further flourish under the leadership of Ch Omar Saeed, who will play his active role in conducting good number squash events on regular basis in order to keep Punjab’s youth engage in healthy squash activities, which will help them win laurels for the country at national and international level.
Omar Saeed graduated with high honors from Brown University and did his Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Omar has recently been appointed CEO Service Long March Tyres (Private) Limited, a Joint Venture between Service Industries Limited and Chaoyang Long March Tyre Co, Ltd. Additionally, Omar serves as the CEO of Servis Foundation.
