Rawalpindi - As many as 11 Boys and Girls colleges of Rawalpindi district are running without principals in Rawalpindi district.
According to media reports, Higher Education Department Punjab has called a list of names to fill these vacant posts and a high level committee has been constituted to appoint the principals. The inductions will be made through interview.
Sources said that Directorate of Colleges has been directed to send names of professors for making appointments.
The colleges operating without principals include Government College for women Peshawar road, Government College for women Mohan Pura, Government College for women Dhok Ratta. Government college for women Gawalmandi, Zafar ul Haq road, Taxila, Wah Cantt, Phagwari, Murree, Government Post Graduate college for Boys Satellite town Rawalpindi and government college for Boys Taxila.
The students and their parents have demanded immediate filling of these vacant posts to ensure smooth flow of administrative and educational activities in these colleges.
