PTI’s corrupt face exposed, claims Bilawal

Says ruling party concealed bank accounts from ECP

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday alleged that the ruling Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leadership’s ‘corrupt face’ has been exposed.

The PPP leader said that after the scrutiny report by the Election Commission, Prime Minister Imran Khan had come out “tainted with corruption” and had been exposed before the public.

“Imran Khan had taken an oath of telling the truth, but instead, he hid PTI’s bank accounts from the ECP,” Bilawal said in a statement. He said the Prime Minister “who has embezzled crores of rupees,” ridicules others for corruption. “But it is now clear that Imran Khan was imposed on the country only under the guise of a so-called anti-corruption campaign. Imran Khan made false promises and looted the country,” he added.

Today, Bilawal said, the devastated economy of the country was a witness to the PTI-led government ruthlessly plundering the national treasury.

He claimed that Imran Khan was forcibly portrayed as honest and then imposed on Pakistan. “But the time has come for him to give an account of his actions,” he added.

Meanwhile, PPP leaders Saleem Mandviwala and Palwasha Khan said the PPP was the only party which has been cleared by the banks that it had not received foreign funding.

“PPP is the only party that does not receive foreign funding. Our entire record is in the Election Commission. PTI people make a spectacle by making false allegations. Foreign funding is just a PTI issue. The rest of the parties are fifty years old. No party has been charged before,” Mandviwala said.

He said the cat was now out of the bag. “No one can save them. The decision to ban PTI is to be taken by the Election Commission,” he added.

Palwasha Khan said the PTI was brought to power as “a conspiracy.” “Today, Pakistan has gone bankrupt. She said the PTI was trying to shift the issue of foreign funding to other parties.

“The PTI mishandled its account and foreign funding.  The PTI cannot put pressure on the ECP. Instead of blaming people, fix yourself PTI,” she asserted.
