Two bodies found at deserted place in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD   -  Two bodies were found at deserted place in two seperate incidents.

In first incident, a body of a newborn boy was found from a deserted place in the area of Millat Town police station. 

Police said here on Saturday that some passersby spotted a corpse of infant boy lying near Parco Pipeline in Millat Town and informed the area police. The police immediately reached the spot and after taking body into custody. In second incident, the body of a young man was found from a deserted place in the area of Gulberg police station. A spokesman said on Saturday that some passersby spotted the body of a 30-year-old man lying at a deserted place near Marzipura and informed the area police. 

The police dispatched the body to mortuary for postmortem, while investigation was under progress to ascertain whereabouts of the deceased.

24 farmers booked for water theft

The police registered cases against 24 farmers during the past 24 hours on the charge of stealing irrigation water from Jhang Branch canal in different areas of Faisalabad. Police spokesman said here on Saturday that Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Irrigation Department Junaid Akbar filed a complaint that 24 farmers of chak no.105-JB, Chak No.108-JB, Chak No.158-JB, Chak No.154-JB and Chak No.141-JB had stolen canal water by altering water channels and irrigated their lands and crops illegally.
