It was in the year 2008 that Mehreen Jabbar and Sarmad Khoosat came up with a serial based on a murder mystery comprising of 19 episodes. With greats in its cast like Samina Ahmad, Salman Shahid, Sania Saeed, Sohail Sameer, Nasreen Qureshi and Irfan Khoosat alongwith many others, Qaatil was produced by Mehreen Jabbar, directed by Sarmad Khoosat and written by Larry Pontius, who also wrote Neeyat for ARY and New York Stories for HUM Television.

Now, both Mehreen Jabbar and Sarmad Khoosat are uniting again for a project titled Dil Kia Karay, with roles, however, changed. It is being directed by Mehreen Jabbar and Sarmad Khoosat will be performing in it alongside Yumna Zaidi, Marina Khan, Sonia Rehman, Tanveer Jamal, Feroze Khan, Abid Ali, Shamim Hilaly, Lubna Aslam, Maryam Nafees, Ali Sheikh, Zaheen Tahira and Zain Baig. Produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and written by Asma Nabeel, Dil Kia Karay is going to be Mehreen’s third project for Geo Television after Doraha and a few episodes of Zindagi Udaas Hai Tou.

By choosing an amazing cast once again, Mehreen Jabbar has made the viewers curious. The thing that has the audience on tenterhooks is that two flawless directors of Pakistan, Sarmad and Mehreen are working together and that this drama serial is going to be Mehreen’s first work with Yumna Zaidi, one of the finest young actresses of Pakistan.

Let’s hope that this serial too, like other Mehreen Jabbar works, makes its space in the hearts of people and becomes memorable like Daam, Doraha, Malal and Aur Zindagi Badalti Hai.
