Pak-Iran 9th Joint Trade Committee meeting to start today

ISLAMABAD - The 9th Joint Trade Committee meeting between Islamic Republic of Iran and Islamic Republic of Pakistan would start today (Saturday) in Tehran. The meeting is scheduled to be held on 6-7 November 2021-at Tehran. Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Abdul Razak Dawood, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment of Pakistan, will co-chair the meeting to discuss all trade issues and progress made after the 8th meeting held in 2019 in Islamabad. An MoU on exhibition cooperation will also be signed between the two countries. Officials from Ministry of Commerce, Pakistan Customs (FBR), Govt of Baluchistan and Presidents of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry are accompanying the advisor for the meeting. Both sides will discuss barter trader, cooperation in transportation, free trade agreement, construction of border markets and other issues affecting bilateral trade. Advisor will also call on Minister of Road and Urban Development of Iran and Minister of Jihad-Agriculture of Iran. Meeting of the heads of Iran and Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and is also scheduled during the visit, at Iranian Chamber of Commerce and trade unions.
