Quetta is the capital of the mineral loaded province, and it suffers immensely as a result of the absence of basic facilities. Likewise, it does not have ample water, a nasty system of load shedding, the poor structure of roads, the chaos of traffic and a poor system of health facilities. These above-mentioned issues have brought many challenges for the residences in the capital.
A challenge in Quetta is the lack of libraries creating a myriad of problems for learners. Three are some private libraries but unfortunately, poor students can’t afford to pay to visit such libraries.
No doubt, the strength of pupils are increasing every day. In Balochistan there are thirty-four districts and all students of these districts who plan to continue their study further can’t afford to go to other provinces.
Quetta has a library which is located in the bazaar and it is known as Quid-i-Azam library but unfortunately, this library doesn’t have a sole place to sit. Students are compelled to sit on the floor to proceed with their studies.
This library is deprived of basic facilities such as toilets and drinking water facilities.
Three are few private libraries but five fingers are not equal and there are pupils who can’t afford to pay fees of these private libraries.
Finally, it is humbly requested to high authorities to pay some serious attention to this unbearable challenge and provide more libraries in the capital.
MUHAMMAD ZARIF,
Quetta.
