ADB approves Rs15b for Abbottabad’s development

TARBELA GHAZI - Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a fund of Rs 15 billion for development of Abbottabad, District Nazim Abbottabad said yesterday.

A delegation of ADB visited Abbottabad and met with the district nazim and also established working group comprising of ADB members and District council.

According to the details, District Nazim Abbottabad Sardar Sher Bhahadar said that Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conducting development work in few selected districts of KP province of worth Rs 50 billion and due to his hectic efforts, Asian Development Bank (ADB) has also approved a fund of Rs 15 billion to be utilized for development of Abbottabad.

He said that the fund would be utilized to facilitate and develop the tourism spots like Thandiani, Nathia Gali and Harno and for uplift of Abbottabad city.

District nazim said that District Hospital Abbottabad would also be reconstructed with the ADB funds.

He added that it would be a three-year development project which would change fate of the district Abbottabad.

District Nazim further told that working group comprising of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and District Council Abbottabad had also been established to execute the developmental work in the district.
