Teachers role vital for development of country, says Murad Ras

LAHORE    -   Provincial Education Minister Murad Ras while expressing his views on the occasion of International Teachers’ Day said that today I pay tribute to the teachers around the world for their hard work and efforts.

They are the architects of the nation as role of teachers is very important and key for the development of any nation, he said. Murad further said that during the last few years, many steps have been taken to make the life of teachers easier and better in the Department of School Education Punjab. Through the positive and comprehensive use of modern technology, an online system e-transfer for the transfer of nearly four lakh teachers in the Punjab Education Department was completed in the first year of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s government in Punjab, he added. Under the e-transfer system, lakhs of teachers have benefited so far by applying for transfer at home through the online portal, he said. “Apart from this, the system of online retirement certificate, pension pay order, online leave, ACRs, PERs and others for teachers has also been fully digitized. We have taken all steps to implement the vision of Digital Pakistan of former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan. The things that teachers used to do after many difficulties, today they are doing it sitting at home without any suggestion, difficulty or bribe,’ he stated. Adding to this Murad said that we have removed the difficulties of teachers with these projects so that they can give full attention to the training and education of our children. No nation in this world can be successful without obtaining higher education. Our full focus is on providing the best educational facilities to our children and teachers, he added.
