The present political situation has brought the entire working machinery of the country to a halt, which proves that there is a lack of effective leadership in times of crisis. What is debatable and alarming is the demand of the protestors, which threaten democracy. All stakeholders have to work together in order to maintain the credibility of parliament and judiciary. The army should not be dragged into the present crisis; otherwise we would not be needing parliament and civil sectors to run the country. Being a common Pakistani, I would request all politicians to show political maturity and seriousness to sort out this political predicament and save democracy from derailment.
