Over 1m saplings planted in Attock during monsoon

ATTOCK    -  More than one million saplings were plant­ed in Attock during monsoon this year and efforts will be made for the survival of these saplings. Divisional Forest Officer Attock Syed Aamir Abbas said this while talking to this journalist at his office. 

He said that this time people from private sector played an important role in tree plan­tation campaign. He said the Forest Depart­ment was also making efforts to ask peo­ple not to cut grown up trees. Replying to a question about mass level cutting of trees in private sector, he said that there was no law to stop anyone from cutting trees, howev­er, he emphasised upon the people to avoid cutting of trees unnecessarily.
