ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday condemned the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) suicide attack on Frontier Constabulary (FC) checkpost on the Mastung Road in Quetta which caused the loss of previous human lives.
At least four people were killed and 20 others were injured when a suicide bomb blast took place at Mastung Road on early Sunday morning. According to DIG Quetta, police, law enforcement agencies and rescue officials arrived at the area immediately after the blast.
The injured were shifted to the Sheikh Zaid hospital, police said. the law enforcement agencies were trying to ascertain the intensity of the blast, according to police.
Imran Khan in a tweet posted on his social media handle expressed his condolences with the families of the martyrs and prayed for the recovery of the injured. The prime minister saluted the country’s security forces and their sacrifices to keep the masses safe by thwarting foreign-backed terrorists’ designs.
“Condemn the TTP suicide attack on FC checkpost, Mastung road, Quetta. My condolences go to the families of the martyrs & prayers for the recovery of the injured. Salute our security forces & their sacrifices to keep us safe by thwarting foreign-backed terrorists’ designs,” PM Imran Khan tweeted on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib also condemned the attack.
In a tweet, he expressed condolences with bereaved families and prayed for the highest ranks in Jannah for the martyrs. He praised the security forces of Pakistan which did not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for ensuring law and order across the country.
“[Security Forces] will continue to thwart cowardly acts of terrorists and their nefarious designs,” he said while vowing for complete elimination of TTP’s remnants from the country.
