RAWALPINDI - Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) central leader, Maulana Muhammad Abu Al-Salfi, has urged the government not to act on the dictations of Americans and work for the betterment of the country and for the religion Islam.
“We appeal to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to fear from God and do for welfare of the people of the country and protect religious parties and organisations instead of harming them as they have been guarding the religion and the country for the blessing of Allah Almighty”.
Salfi said this while addressing a protest demo staged by JuD city chapter under the banner of Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) against USA for announcing US $10 million on him and US $2 million on Lashar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) head Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki of outside Rescue 15 Officer on Benazir Bhutto Road (BBR) here on Friday.
Dozens of charged activists of JuD holding party flags, bamboos, wearing handkerchiefs over their heads mentioning Kalma Tayaba, placards and banners bristled slogans in favour of their beloved leader Prof Hafiz Saeed Ahmed and against US and India. JuD City Ameer Hafiz Ahsan Ullah also participated in the agitation.
“Hafiz on your single order, we will drop our blood”, “There is only one remedy for US-India, Al-Jihad Al Jihad”, “America India tumhari maut aae, Lasker-e-Taiba aae Lashker-e-Taiba aae”, “We love you Hafiz Saeed for the sake of Islam”, “Hafiz Saeed you just move forward, we are with you”, “Down with America and India” were the full-pitched slogans bellowed by very angry activist of JuD blocking the traffic on BBR posing hardships for commuters.
Addressing the protestors, Salfi vehemently denounced the announcement of bounty on Hafiz Saeed and Abdul Rehman Makki by the Americans saying “Such coward acts can not deject the passions of Ameer-ul-Mujahideens Hafiz Saeed and Abdul Rehman Makki”. He said that US got mad after shameful defeat in Afghanistan that was why she announced bounty on two most respected leaders in a bid to hide her defeat.
He said that JuD has no financial and vested interest rather the organization has been in the field to bring the people into the religious circle and to get free the Ummah from the clutches of infidels the USA and India.
He said that infidels were out to dent the soft image of Muslim countries by launching propaganda against those leaders, like Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and Abdul Rehman Makki, who had the abilities to safe the Muslim countries from imperial forces. “The death and life is in the hand of Allah not in the hands of USA or India. No one can harm the two Ameers of Mujahideens as tens of thousands of devotees are ready to sacrifice their lives on one signal of Hafiz Saeed and Makki” he added.
The other speakers also blasted USA and India for defaming two leaders and pledged that they would render every kind of sacrifice to guard Pakistan.
