Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has stated on Saturday that, a month back, only 21pc of 27.2 million citizens aged 50 and above got atleast one jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Asad Umar has stated at the moment, 33pc of the same age group has received atleast one dose of the vaccine.
The minister further revealed that this age group is most vulnerable to serious complicarions due to COVID-19 infection.
Asad Umar, who also heads National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), urged people to get themselves vaccinated, and ask others especially citizens from this group to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
