Peshawar   -  The district administration has issued a notification regarding closure of commercial and markets two consecutive days in a week.

As per the notification issued by the deputy commissioner’s office, different closed days have been decided for different areas of the provincial capital. Friday and Saturday have been declared closed days for Jamrud Road, Board Bazaar, Karkhanu Market, Circular Road, Kohati Gate, Jahangirpura, Lahori Gate, Asiya Gate, Ring Road (from Hayatabad toll plaza to Garhi Qamardin) and Hashnagri localities. 

Similarly, Saturday and Sunday have been declared closed days for the rest of Peshawar.

Meanwhile, the administration through another notification has also enforced section 144 to maintain order in month of Muharramul Haraam.

Under the law, the administration has banned wall chalking, objectionable material and pamphlets, tinted windows in vehicles, weapon display, storage of scraps, spectators near processions, business of hotels in city division and other measures.
