Hindus urge UN to pressure India

KARACHI The Hindu community has demanded of the United Nations to press India for resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute by dully giving the right of self-determination to millions in held region. To express solidarity with Kashmiris, the Hindu and Christian community groups jointly arranged a function at the KMC Football Ground in Lyari on Saturday night. Prominent were female footballers, who belong to Christian minority, who passionately attended function organized in connection with the Kashmir Day elsewhere. Both minority groups have dwelled in the Lyari town from pre-partition times. Talking to The Nation most of participants said they wanted a peaceful and immediate solution to the volatile zone. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people have lost their lives in aggression. Why, the India is not recognizing their sacrifices? they questioned. However, Hindu singer Nand Lal took a different way to voice his concerns. He sung different songs to highlight the plights of Kashmiris. Nand Laal expressed that during the Lyari gang war, and other issues the Hindu and minorities living here without facing any hardship we are Pakistani and accept the rights of self determination of the Kashmiri oppressed people, India also should respect the resolution of United Nation and organize the referendum he informed. Miss Anita while talking with the Nation said Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed across the country with the pledge to continue moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for their right to self-determination and as a Pakistani we also support our government and right of Kashmiris. She also flayed India for continuously denying the Kashmiris their UN-mandated right to self-determination and unleashing terror on them and abusing their fundamental rights.
