ISLAMABAD  - Markazi Imam Hussain Council would arrange the birthday Hazrat Ali (RA) conference on July 15 at a local hotel in Rawalpindi. This was decided in a meeting held here at the residence of Allama Syed Izhar Hussain Bukhari, which presided over by Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi. The meeting was told that over 1,000 prominent ulema and Mashaikh belonging to different schools of thought would participate in the conference. It was also told that conferences would also be organised in Lahore, Multan, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Muzaffarabd, Gilgit, Haiderabad, Khairpur Miras, Faisalabad and Dera Ismail Khan. Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi said that celebrations on the occasion of birthday of Hazrat Ali (RA) are also arranged in other countries, including, Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Mauritius, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on official level. He appealed to the government to celebrate the birthday of Hazrat Ali(RA) officially and also asked the Federal Minister for Information to give proper coverage to these ceremonies. A ceremony to celebrate the birthday of Hazrat Ali (RA) would be held on July 16 here at the Gilani House Noorpur Shahan, the residence of Syed Mushtaq Ali Gilani. Scholars would address on this occasion. Another ceremony would be held at Dargah Aalia Edigah Sharif on July 15 and ulema and mashaikh would address the conference.
