First Silver for Pakistan in Commonwealth Youth Games

Samoa:  Talha Talib Pakistan won Silver medal for Pakistan in 56 Kg category Of Samoa Commonwealth Youth Games 2015.

Weightlifting event held today at Main Sports Complex, Apia SAMOA. Talha outclassed other 11 weightlifters by lifting102 Kg in snatch, and lifted 115 Kg in clean Jerk to win a silver medal for Pakistan.

His total of 217 was enough for him to reach the medal table with silver. Indian Lifter equaled in snatch with Talha but lifted 135 Kg in Jerk to be on top. Audience appreciated 16 years Talha for his brilliant performance.

Muhammad Usman is competing in 62 Kg category of Weightlifting tomorrow on September 8, at 2 pm local tome.

Asian Youth 2015 Gold medalist Abdur Rehman has a great challenge from India, Cameron and Australia. He is in good spirit and insha Allah will give his best performance in 77 kg Competition on September 10.

 In Squash Competitions Sadia Gull and Israr both won their first matches and moved to second round.

Unfortunately Rida Khalid (Tennis) lost her first match (singles). Muzammil (Tennis) will play his first match tomorrow on 8th September.

Both Boxers lost their first bouts today held at 2 pm and 5 pm and Boxing arena
