Prime Minister Imran Khan on will visit Gilgit Baltistan April 12 (Monday).
Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Ameen Khan Gandapur and Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haque will accompany the prime minister.
PM Imran Khan's day-long visit to Gilgit-Baltistan had been postponed due to unsuitable weather conditions on April 5 and will now visit on April 12 where he will attend the main function to be held at the Chief Minister s Secretariat.
The prime minister will also hold meetings with Gilgit-Baltistan cabinet members and other officials. He will be briefed on the resolution of the Legislative Assembly to make Gilgit-Baltistan a province.
Imran Khan will also announce a historic package of Rs 275 billion for Gilgit-Baltistan. In addition, programs for the promotion of infrastructure, tourism, energy and social welfare will also be decided.
Under the package, 3G and 4G internet facility will be provided to Gilgit-Baltistan. Youth and women development programs will also be launched.
