Sharifs ready to flee country: Qadri

LAHORE  - Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said Thursday that FIR against him was a proof that government had lost the battle against him and now resorting to adverse actions.
He said leaders of the ruling PML-N had finalised the preparations as they knew they were going to face a defeat.
Talking to media persons outside his house on Thursday, Dr Qadri said he would not leave the country without bringing revolution. Referring the reports that government will put his name on the Exit Control List (ECL), Qadri said his name did not need to be put on the ECL as he had returned to Pakistan to bring justice, restore the Constitution and end the dynastic rule. He said he would not leave the country without achieving his goals.
PAT chief said Sharif family had finalised the arrangements to flee the country. But this time, he said, Saudi Arabia would refuse them asylum. He said Britain would not give them protection too. Dr Qadri said this time Sharif had planned to go to America. Providing evidence, Qadri said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family had applied for a US visa to flee the country. He said Sharifs had even applied for visas for their household attendants. Qadri also presented names of the servants serving the Sharif family who had applied for US visa. He also presented application numbers as well. Showing application to the media, Dr Qadri said the application was given on the official letterhead of MNA Hamza Shahbaz.
The PAT chief said he was yet to announce the date of his revolution march but the government had started packing to leave the country. Qadri said he had only announced to observe martyrs day on August 10.
The PAT chief urged his supporters and the public not to allow Nawaz and his family to leave the country.
“We will end this dynastic rule,” said Qadri, adding that there was no democracy in the country. He said the rulers had accepted their defeat and they could not stay in power. He was sure that the current rule would end till end of the ongoing month. He said sealing the roads leading to PAT head office and arresting the workers was a clear evidence that government was confused. “The rulers had accepted the defeat psychology,” he said.
Meanwhile, talking to mediamen at Dr Qadri’s residence, PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said his experience of the politics was as much as the age of Shahbaz Sharif. He said it seemed that it was not Model Town rather it was a Jalianwala Bagh.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said the real face of the rulers had now come into light. He questioned that what type of democracy was this. He said the electricity and water were disconnected to the area. He said protest was constitutional right of every citizen.
Later, Qadri held a meeting with Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen chief Raja Nasir Abbas, Kamil Ali Agha and others at his residence.
On August 6, Data Darbar police had registered an FIR No. 304/14 on the complaint of Muhammad Khursheed, a resident of Mohni Road, Lahore. The complainant stated that during his August 3 speech, Dr Qadri incited the public to revolt against the government and tried to intimidate the government by warning it of dire consequences if his demands were not met.

Hours after the FIR was registered against Qadri, Punjab police set up pickets on all roads leading to the Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Lahore.
Meanwhile, a large number of PAT workers continued reaching at PAT headquarters. A protest camp was set up by the female wing of PAT in front of Qadri’s residence against the government. A large number of PAT workers were sitting in front of PAT Secretariat.
