Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani in Tehran and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interests.
Reported by Radio Pakistan, Asad Qaiser said Pak-Iran relations are deep rooted in common faith and culture.
He said the regional countries will have to take concrete steps for peace and security in the region as it is vital to achieve the objectives of progress and development.
Describing terrorism and extremism as the biggest hurdle in the way of economic development, the speaker said all regional countries will have to take collective steps to curb this menace.
Ali Larijani said Iran desires to continue cooperation with Pakistan in all sectors.
