Pindi women to have transport service from 17th

RAWALPINDI  - Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Rawalpindi in collaboration with Al-Abrar Associates and Zong Flutter has begun a 12-wagon transport service to provide best travel facilities to the women travelling between the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The newly launched transport service "Tabeer" will ply between the twin cities from February 17 (Monday). Secretary RTA Awais Manzoor Tarar expressed these views at a press conference held here on Friday. On the occasion, Zong Flutter Product Manager Esna Bhatti was also present.
He said that the females including working and students have been facing a lot of problems during rush hours while travelling between Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He said that keeping in view the hardships; RTA was working on a project to facilitate the women and finally agreed on plying a wagon service namely Tabeer along with Zong and Al-Abrar Associates. "This new transport service will provide best travel facilities to women who can easily reach their workplace and educational institutions on time," the secretary said.
The exclusively branded vans would facilitate the women as well as work as hub of information about Zong Flutters packages with added facility to allow women avail recharge facility on the go, he said, adding that the service would commute on Route No-1 which was 23 kilometre long.
He said that it would also ply on 19 kilometre-long route No-7 Haj Complex to Soan Camp via Golra Morr, Kohinoor Mill, Pirwadhai Morr, Chuhur Chowk, Cheering Cross, Race Course Ground, MH Chowk, Railway Station Kamran Chowk, District Courts and Morga Morr. The project would be self-sustaining and revenue required for the execution of project would be generated by branding the vans.
