LAHORE – The Punjab government has approved increase in flour price by Rs 30 to Rs 670 per 20kg bag.
According to details, Pakistan Flour Mills Association Punjab former President Asim Raza said that after the increase of Rs 50 per maund grinding services by government, Association and Food Department agreed to increase ex-mill price of 20kg bag of flour to Rs 648 while on retail the 20kg bag could be sold out at Rs 670. Earlier it was being sold in the open market at Rs 640.
It is pertinent to note that the Association had demanded to hike the price of flour up to Rs 710 per 20 kg bag.
