30 illegal immigrants arrested

KARACHI - Pakistan Coast Guards on Monday apprehended 30 illegal immigrants attempting to cross the border from coastal area of Nalient (Gawadar) and Kumb Checkpost at Pak-Iran border. PCG troops intercepted 23 persons at Nalient and 7 at Kumb near Pak-Iran border on charge of illegal border crossing. All these illegal immigrants hailed from different parts of the country.  During initial investigation, it was revealed that the held individuals intended to cross the border for their onward journey to Gulf/European countries.  PCG said further investigation is underway by its special investigation team and will later be handed over to FIA Immigration authorities.
