Section 144 imposed to ban sale, purchase of common land






TARBELA GHAZI - Haripur district administration has announced imposition of Section 144 in tehsil Ghazi, under which purchase and sale of common land (Shamilat) and encroachments has been banned.
According to details, for the last few months it has become a common trend in tehsil Ghazi that few people sale their share in Shamlat on a single judicial paper and when the purchaser reach the site to occupy the land, it leads to quarrels with the other shareholders.
The matter came to the knowledge of ASP Ghazi Wahid Mehmood, who sent his recommendation to district administration to impose Section 144 to avoid any untoward situation in Ghazi. On the recommendation of ASP Ghazi, District Coordination Officer, HariPur Syed Mohsin Ali Shah imposed Section 144 in tehsil Ghazi on immediate basis and banned sale and purchase of land in Shamlat, encroachment and positioning of such land.




 It is worth mentioning here that it is for the third time that Section 144 is being imposed in the tehsil during last one week. Earlier, on the recommendation of ASP Ghazi, DCO imposed Section 144 two times in Ghazi to ban swimming in River Indus and in Ghazi Barotha Power Channel and seek details of the people living in rented houses so as to avoid renting out of houses to unverified people.
