Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday has taken notice of a case related to assaulting and blackmailing a couple in Islamabad.

PM Imran telephoned Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jameeulur Rehman and inquired about the incident.

PM Imran Khan has also directed IG ICT to give exemplary punishment to the accused in the case.

Police said that the incident happened two months back when the prime suspect Usman Mirza with his accomplices barged into an apartment and shot an obscene video of the couple.

Later they blackmailed the couple and demanded money. He threatened to leak the videos in case of non-compliance.

It is to be noted that police have arrested four individuals in connection with Usman Mirza’s sexual harassment of a boy and a girl after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
