Sharifs hiding their zero performance, says Parvaiz Elahi


LAHORE – PML-Q senior leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvaiz Elahi on Thursday said that Sharif Brothers were trying to hide their zero performance during their three tenures including last five years under the cover of new manifesto.
He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Gujranwala Export Processing Zone at State Guest House. The function was attended by the office-bearers of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, prominent industrialists, traders as well as the parliamentarians in large number.
On the occasion, Parvaiz Elahi said, “When Nawaz Sharif had returned from Jeddah, he had given the manifesto of bringing back the prices at 1997 level, where that manifesto had gone and why they had not brought back the prices at the promised level.” He said said N-League had stopped the wheel of progress but we would start it again from where we had left. He said PML-N had done nothing for 67 per cent population living in villages. He further said “foreign investors trust EPZA because of our measures, we have always given preference to national interest and made efforts for strengthening of national institutions without any discrimination.” He congratulated EPZA Chairman Saadat S Cheema and said that through our efforts 350 million dollars foreign exchange was being earned annually which would reach the level of one billion dollars by the end of current financial year. He said that on his direction, the EPZA had established its Liaison Offices in many cities including Quetta. He directed EPZA Chairman that all possible facilities should be provided to women for working in industry.  Ch Parvaiz Elahi said Sharif Brothers had scrapped our projects like Mubarak Centre and underground train and thus stopped foreign investment of billions of dollars.
On this occasion, EPZA Chairman Saadat S Cheema also spoke Basharat Raja, Imtiaz Ranjha, Zahid Iqbal Chaudhry, Ch Zaheeruddin, Shaikh Abdul Rauf, Khwaja Asim Khurshid, Aamer Saleemi, Babar Nawaz, Khwaja Ammir Hassan and Zafar Bakhtarvi and others attended.
