Rehman Malik defends Bilawal, Zardari

ISLAMABAD   -   Former interior minister Senator Rehman Malik strongly defended his leadership former president Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday.

He condemned the speech of Prime Minister Imran Khan in National Assembly wherein he hurled serious allegations against Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Yousef Raza Gilani.

He said Imran Khan also blamed PPP for signing NRO with Pervez Musharraf. Senator Rehman Malik not only denied PM allegations but also termed them baseless and demanded to take back the baseless allegations about signing of any NRO between PPP and General Musharraf.

As Senator Rehman Malik during the period of exile was assisting Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto and was handling all negotiations with the then military leadership, he was aware of each and everything about the dialogue between Benazir Bhutto and Musharraf. He categorically denied such news and said that PPP had never signed any NRO with General Musharraf or anyone else adding if anyone could prove that he would quit politics.

Senator Rehnan Malik has emerged as popular leader within his party, especially after his strong defence of party leadership Asif Ali Zardari and Syed Yousef Raza Gilani. By his strong and vocal statement in the defence of his leadership, he has once again defeated his opponents.
