Security beefed up in Faisalabad for 12th Rabiul Awwal

FAISALABAD    -    The district police have made elaborate arrangements for security of Jashn-e-Eid Mi­ladun-Nabi processions on 12th of Rabiul Awwal, to be celebrated on Oct 9.

As many as 158 proces­sions and 34 Mahafil will be held in the district.

According to the security plan, 2,105 constables, 203 head-constables, 275 assis­tant sub-inspectors (ASIs), 49 sub-inspectors (SIs), and 10 inspectors would be de­ployed on security duty and they would be supervised by 14 DSPs and five SPs.

Four teams of Elite force would ensure patrolling on the main procession routes. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras have been installed at various places to keep an eye on suspects, said Naveed Ahmed, a spokesper­son for the CPO office, here on Friday.

Meanwhile, Muttahida Ulema Board Punjab Chair­man Sahibzada Hamid Raza has said that the celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi should be celebrated with great de­votion and respect. He said this while addressing the review meeting held by the Divisional Peace Committee regarding the arrangement of Eid Miladun Nabi in the Bahawalpur Division. 

Bahawalpur Division Com­missioner Raja Jahangir An­war briefed Raza about the peace and order and other arrangements in the three districts of Bahawalpur Divi­sion regarding the proces­sions of Rabiul Awwal. Hamid Raza said that security ar­rangements will be ensured. 

The meeting was informed about the security and other arrangements of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi processions. The prayers were offered for the country’s security, develop­ment, and prosperity.

PREPARATIONS FOR EID MILADUN NABI IN FULL SWING

Preparations to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi were in full swing in Sargodha divi­sion. People decorated their houses, buildings, shops, ve­hicles with colourful lights and buntings to mark the day. They would participate in Milad functions, Seerat con­ferences, Naat competitions, seminars, workshops, rallies and declamation contests.

Main processions would be taken out from Hamid Shah mosque and Milad Chowk, Chak 47 bridge and various other localities on 12th Rabi­ul Awwal. Police had final­ized the security plan in the division under which 3,643 policemen and 1,635 vol­unteers would be deployed for the security of 253 milad processions and 478 milad ceremonies. All processions and mahafil would be moni­tored through CCTV cameras amid tight security.
