Recently, a programme has been launched to provide polio vaccination to children in all the districts of Balochistan. Children of ages four months to two years are falling victim to Polio. In Balochistan, nearly 200,000 will be vaccinated against the polio virus this year. The programme will target over 150,842 children in the provincial capital, 41,898 in Pishin and 46,450 in Qilla Abdullah. I hope that the provincial government remains firm on the step it’s taking. Polio is a life-threatening illness and it must be eradicated.
