LAHORE - Pak Sarzameen Party head Mustafa Kamal is visiting Pakistan Awami Tehreek office in Model Town today while a meeting between PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Dr Tahirul Qadri will be held tomorrow(Sunday).
Leaders of the political parties will discuss the situation emerged after the publication of Model Town inquiry report and devise a protest strategy against Punjab government, says a PAT leader.
Ch Shujaat accompanied by PML-Q senior leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema is visiting PAT head office on invitation of Dr Qadri who has already warned Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif and law minister Rana Sanaullah to step down or ready to face the protest movement.
PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari already met Dr Qadri and backed the latter’s call for Shehbaz resignation and protest.
PTI chairman Imran Khan, Awami Muslim League president Sheikh Rashid and Majlise Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) head Raja Nasir Abbas have also assured PAT chairman of their support.
Although PML-Q is part of four parties alliance including PAT, MWM, a political party enjoying major support of Shia vote bank, and Sunni Ittehad Council, Sahibzada Raza Hamid led Brelvi parties alliance and Ch Shujat has already announced support of Dr Qadri on Model Town issue, Sunday’s meeting will exclusively focus on protest strategy.
