LAHORE - Asad Zaman (McDonald’s), Ahsan Ahmed and Nadir Mirza reached the semifinals of the 10th Essa Lab National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championship 2021 after winning their respective quarterfinals at Modern Club Karachi. 
According to Muhammad Khalid Rahmani, three U-14 singles quarterfinals were decided. Top seed Asad Zaman played superb tennis against Nael Mirza and overpowered him by 4-2, 4-0 while Ahsan Ahmed had to struggle hard to beat Duraf Das 4-2, 1-4, 4-2 and Nadir Mirza proved too hot for Abdullah Raziq and outclassed him 4-0, 4-0. In the U-14 doubles semifinals, the pair of Nadir Mirza and Nael Mirza beat Taimoor/Kaamil 4-0, 4-1. The girls U-14 singles semifinal saw Inaya thrashing Eshal 4-0, 4-0. 
In the U-12 singles quarterfinals, Ali Bachani beat Abid Bachani 4-0, 4-2 and Sameer Zaman beat Nael Mirza 4-0, 2-4, 4-0. In the U-12 double semifinals, Ali/Ahmed beat Imdad Ali/Nibras 5-4(7-5), 4-2. In the U-10 singles semifinals, Majid Ali beat Humza 4-1, 4-1. In the U-18 semifinals, M Ahtisham beat Ali Khattak 6-7, 6-1, 6-1 and Raahim Veqar beat Munir Darbari 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. In the U-16 singles quarterfinals, Raahim Veqar beat Munir Derbari 6-3, 6-4 and Ahsan Ahmed beat Kashan Tariq 7-5, 6-7. 
In the men’s singles semifinals, Farhan Altaf beat Salman Ahmed 6-0, 6-1 and Vinod Das beat Ahsan Siddiq 6-4, 6-2. In the men’s doubles semifinal, Shahab/Adnan beat Ali/Vinot 8-5. 
In the 35 doubles semifinals, Robin Das/Vinod Das beat Mustafa/Kamra 8-4 and A Saeed/Naseem beat Sher/Iltafat 8-4. In the 45 plus doubles semifinals, Zafar/Sher beat Rafi Darbari/Abdul Saeed 8-4, Jawad/Iltafat beat Imran/Salim 8-4.
