LAHORE - The PML-Q President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has condemned the tragic incidents in Sialkot and Faisalabad saying that such incidents could not be allowed in the name of religion. 

“There is no place for violence and extremism in Islam”, he said in a statement.   Ch Shujaat said that these incidents had been strongly condemned by scholars of all schools of thought and every member of the society. “A lack of humanity has taken root in the society which has nothing to do with religion”, he averred.

The PML-Q leader observed that society was heading in a direction whose results would be terrible. “The people should not take the law into their own hands under any circumstances. 

The problems created by such a tendency cannot be rectified, rather they get worse”, he said.
