Rally, sit-in mark MQM black day

MULTAN
The MQM South Punjab workers brought out a rally in connection with a Black Day call given by the party leadership against what they claimed as extrajudicial killings of their comrades here on Saturday. The rally begun from Nawan Shehr Chowk and ended in front of Multan Press Club where MQM workers staged a sit-in. Holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands, the MQM workers chanted slogans against Sindh Government and demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of killings of their fellows.
Speaking on this occasion, Mirza Furqan Moghal said that the government was responsible for the killings, adding that 45 workers of MQM went missing during last few days. He lamented that the workers were being murdered by state agencies in a bid to push MQM to the wall. He warned that the killings, jails and false cases could not suppress the Movement as it was the sole voice of oppressed sections of Pakistani society. He demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan to direct concerned authorities to recover and produce before the court 45 missing workers of MQM.
