ISLAMABAD - Chairman National Accountability Bureau Justice (R) Javed Iqbal chaired a meeting and reviewed the performance of NAB-Rawalpindi especially the convictions made under Section 10 of National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999 and under Section 25 (b) of the NAO-1999 during the year 2018 to 2020 at NAB Headquarter.
During the meeting, Irfan Naeem Mangi, Director Ggeneral NAB Rawalpindi, informed that the NAB Rawalpindi got convicted as many as 13 persons in 2020 by Accountability Courts under section 10 of NAO-1999. The convicts included Matti ur Rehman, Muhammad Nouman Qureshi and others, accused Muhammad Khalid Warsi, Peer Afzal, Muhammad Khalid Warsi, Shabbir Hussain, Muhammad Naeem, Masood Shaid and others, Nadeem Riaz Pervaiz, Dawood Khalid, Mian Khurram Rasool, Ch Muhammad Riaz, Irfan Ullah Khan, Muhammad Nouman Qureshi and Adil Butt.
The DG NAB Rawalpindi also informed that due to the efforts of the regional bureau nine persons were convicted by respected Accountability Courts in 2019 under section 10 of NAO-1999. The convicted persons included Ghulam Rasool Ayubi, Mian Khurram Rasool, Najam ud Din, Ghulam Rasool Ayubi, M. Tariq Mahmood, Ali Abbas Nasir, Mufti Ata ur Rehman, Hussain Ahmed, M. Khalid was
Similarly, in the year 2018, due to the efforts of NAB Rawalpindi 21 persons were convicted by respected Accountability Courts under section 10 of NAO-1999. The convicted persons included Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Mufti M. Ehsan ul Haq, Maryam Nawaz, Capt (R) M. Safdar, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Muhammad Ali Yougvi, Muhammad Fayyaz, Mian Khurram Rasool and Mufti Ibrar ul Haq, M. Osama Abbasi, Umair Ahmed, Hafiz M. Nawaz, Abdu Malik, Saif ullah, M. Osama Qureshi, Muhammad Riaz, Hafiz Raja Asif, Rashid Minhas, Abdul Rehman and Taj Din.
Moreover, Irfan Naeem Mangi informed the meeting that during the year 2020, due to the efforts of NAB-Rawalpindi 19 persons were convicted by different Accountability Courts under section 25(b) of NAO-1999. These convicts included Saleem Ullah(GB) & Others, Shafqat Mumtaz, Shahzab Mahmood, Zulfiqar Ali, Arshad Iqbal, Shahzaib Mehmood, Zulfiqar Ali, Ayaz Ahmed Siddiqui, Zain & Mushtaq into fake Accounts, Zain Malik, Mushtaq Ahmed and Zain Malik, Zain Malik, Mian Waseem alias Luki Ali, Shamshad Ali, Muhammad Ilyas, Tahir Maqbool Khawkwani and Tahir Aslam
He also informed the meeting that during the year 2019, due to the efforts of NAB-Rawalpindi 25 persons were convicted by different Accountability Courts under section 25(b) of NAO-1999. They included Muhammad Jaffar, Abdul Rasheed Channa, Uzair Tahseen, Aslam Pervaiz Memon, Nadeem Younis, Abdul Sattar Qureshi, Muhammad Shahid, Abdul Ghani, Tariq Baig, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Touseef, Aamir, Siraj Shahid ,Muhammad Anwar Brohi, Miskeen Fiqeer, Harish, Syed Asif Mahmood, Syed Arif Ali, Dr. Syed Sqalain Ahmed Gillani, Hadayat Ali Khan, Hakeem Khan, Irshad Hussain, Anwar Hussain, and Zahid Shafique.
The DG NAB Rawalpindi also informed the meeting that during the year 2018, eight persons were convicted by different Accountability Courts under section 25(B) of NAO-1999. The convicts included Malik Tariq Raheem, Syed Shujat Hussain, Muhammad Uzair Shah, Muzafar Nishat, Muzafar Nishat, Abdul Wakeel, Sheikh Muhammad Raheel and Sheikh Muhammad Sharjeel.
