KHAIRPUR   -   Four people were killed and one other injured in a shootout between two groups of Kharos community in village Mango Kharos in katchha area of Indus River within the jurisdiction of Faiz Muhammad Bindo police station on Saturday evening.

According to police, both groups traded intense fire with sophisticated weapons as a result, four villagers, including two brothers Nazar M Kharos and Raja Kharos, sons of Fateh Kharos; Ali Sher Kharos from one side and Saifullah Kharos from other side suffered severe injuries and died on the spot while a villager suffered injuries. Intense firing was carried out by villagers. The panic gripped the area soon after the incident. SSP Khairpur Zafar Iqbal claimed that situation was now under controlled as a huge contingent of police had been deployed in the area.
