Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong and Foreign Minister's Special Envoy on Counter-Terrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution Qatar, Dr. Mutlaq Bin Majed Al-Qahtani called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Friday.

According to the issued details by ISPR, matters pertaining to the maintenance of regional peace and security were discussed in the meeting. 

The COAS extended his gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador for providing unending support to Pakistan in the challenging times of COVID-19. The leaders discussed strategies for the prompt completion of CPEC.   

In addition to this, COAS thanked Dr. Mutlaq on facilitating Pakistan to host Afghan peace process talks whereas, he expressed high hopes of continuous mutual cooperation in maintaining Pak-Qatar bilateral ties. 

Dr. Mutlaq lauded the role of Pakistan in supporting the Afghan peace process and congratulated COAS Bajwa on maintaining regional peace within the country.
