ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has once again failed to win the support of PML-Q leader Ch Shujat Hussain for the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. Ch Shujat last night called on Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence here in Islamabad.
According to sources privy to the development, Maulana Fazlur Rehman once again requested Ch Shujat Hussain for his party’s support for the no-confidence motion against the PM.
On Maulana’s request for support, Ch Shujat Hussain responded that he cannot give his words to him alone, saying that he will take up the matter with his party’s leadership.
According to the JIU-F spokesman, Ch Shujat and Maulana Fazl discussed no-confidence motion besides other political issues during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Fazl also conveyed his concerns about Shujat Hussain’s refusal to visit opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif’s home despite his invitation.
Later, Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif visited Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s home and held a meeting with him. The sources privy to the development said that the PDM Chief briefed Shehbaz about his meeting with Shujat Hussain.
