RPO removes nine police officers from service

FAISALABAD   -  Regional Police Officer (RPO) Riffat Mukhtar Raja has removed nine police officers from service on charge of their negligence, delinquency and abuse of powers. 

Police spokesman said here on Saturday that RPO during orderly meeting witnessed nine police officers including Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Shoaib, former SHO City Jaranwala police station, Trainee ASI Bilal of City Jaranwala police station, head constable Abdul Waheed of City Jaranwala police station, ASI Rafaqat of Thikriwala police station, constable Shahid Iqbal former operator SP Lyallpur Town, ASI Iqbal of Sargodha Road police station, SI Fayyaz Hussain of Mamonkanjan police station, ASI Muhammad Asif of Mamonkanjan police station and Trainee ASI Farhan Bashir of Mamonkanjan police station involved in negligence, delinquency and abuse of powers. Therefore, taking serious notice, the RPO removed these officers from service and further action against them was underway.

Youth electrocuted

A youth was electrocuted in the area of Sadar Sammundri police station.

Police spokesman said here on Saturday that 30-year-old Muhammad Tahir was busy in some work at a tyre shop where he accidentally touched electricity wire.

As a result, Tahir received fatal electric shock and died on the spot before getting any medical assistance. The police handed over the body to his relatives after completing necessary formalities.

1000 liter spurious milk destroyed

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tandlianwala Noman Ali has destroyed 1000 liter spurious milk seized from a dairy.

A spokesman of local administration said here on Saturday that AC Tandlianwala on a tip-off conducted surprise raid at a dairy farm and found that workers were busy in preparing spurious milk through chemicals.

On seeing the AC and his team, the dairy workers managed to escape from the scene. However, the AC sealed premises of the dairy after taking 1000 liter spurious milk into custody. 

Later, the AC destroyed the spurious milk and got a case registered against dairy owner and other accused. Further action was underway, said spokesman.
