LAHORE-Laal ishq is a TV drama which brings you on a journey of love where you could see a fight between love and revenge but as the story continues love prevailed in the end and won the fight with disseminating the message of love, harmony and peace.

Laal Ishq is presented by A Plus Entertainment and penned by Khalilur Rehman Qamar who has written some of the top notch dramas of Pakistani film industry. The executive producer is Kashif Kabir while it is directed by Dilawar Malik and produced by Emran Ali.

Laal Ishq cast included bigwigs of the Pakistani TV industry including Saba Hameed, Waseem Abbas, Babar Ali, Arslan Idrees, Faryal Mehmood, Aabi Khan, Anzla Abbasi, Kashif Mehmood, Bilal Ch, Touqeer Nasir, Mahjabeen Habib, Khalid Butt, Junaid Malhi and Dilawar Malik. Laal Ishq is a sequel of Lunda Bazaar, 1990s drama which became sensation for the television audience.

To understand the Laal Ishq one must go from a crash course of a story of Lunda Bazaar in which two leading characters Hukam (Khalilur Rehman Qamar) and Bali (Babar Ali) fought against each other leading to a murder of Hukam resultantly Bali sentenced for life imprisonment. Laal Ishq started the journey from a scene when Bali came out from the jail and said ‘Bali has come back’. Bali found himself in a society where sentiments of love and revenge were high.

Arif Lohar who has always come up with appreciating any new music venture in Pakistani drama and film industry told The Nation Laal Isqh has become a symbol of hope that Pakistani TV industry is moving in a right direction. He said lyrics of Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar have pinched in my soul as OST is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The drama is a representation of TV’s bigwigs and newcomers also and provides a learning experience for the young cast of the drama.

Babar Ali talking on the Laal Ishq said the working experience with the almost same cast was magnificent and these types of sequels gave confidence to actor and the character as well.

Laal Ishq has entered the Pakistani film industry 15 years after Lunda Bazaar and most of the original cast also reappeared as their original characters.

Khalilur Rehman Qamar defending on the debut appearance of his son Turab Khalil said only Turab can justify the role which he was assigned.  Tauqeer Nasir is a veteran actor and served as Director General of Pakistan National Council of Arts. He said started his career in 1978 with PTV. “After spending most of my life in Pakistan TV industry this is a proud moment for me. Joining this project which is penned by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar was an opportunity which I could not miss,” Tauqeer said.
