Tahir blasts Tahir

LAHORE
Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Tahir Ashrafi Wednesday termed the Eid-prayers led by PAT Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri in Islamabad ‘irreligious and against the spirit of Islam’.
Dr Qadri led the Eid prayers at Islamabad’s D-Chowk on Monday. The congregation was attended by PTI chief Imran Khan and many other political leaders.
In a press statement, the head of Pakistan Ulema Council said that those who had offered Eid prayers, led by Dr Qadri, should seek the mercy of Allah Almighty. “If the Imam (prayer leader) feels unfit, he must ask someone else to lead the prayers,” Ashrafi added.
“Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri should have told his followers about the problem he was facing at the time when he led the prayers,” suggested the Pakistan Ulema Council chief.
