Sharif’s sugar mill hosts ‘RAW’ agents: Qadri

At least 300 Indian nationals are employees of a sugar mill belonging to the Sharif Group of Industries, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri claimed Friday.

“We have all the evidence. The sugar mill employees Indian spies, agents of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW),” Qadri alleged in a press conference.

On the occasion, the PAT chief also reavealed a list, which he alleged contains the name of 50 out of the 300 Indian nationals working at the sugar mill, to reporters.

Sharif group rejects Qadri’s claim

A spokesperson of the Sharif Group of Industries dismissed Dr Tahirul Qadri’s claims, saying that there are no foreign nationals working in the Sharif family’s sugar mill.

Yousaf Abbas Sharif, managing director of the Sharif Group of Industries, said the sugar mill was established in 1992. He added that the sugar mill has a workforce of more than 1,100 people.

“There is no Indian national working in the sugar mill, which was established in 1992. All employees of the mill are Pakistanis,” said the managing director.

“Tahirul Qadri is a well-known liar. We will take him to court. As of now, we have decided to send him a defamation notice,” Waqt News quoted Yousaf Abbas Sharif as saying.
