KARACHI - Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday declared regularisation of contract employees in Grade-16 and above without commission’s examinations as illegal.
A two-member bench of Sindh High Court headed by Justice Nadeem Akhtar gave the verdict to declare the regularisation of contract employees without passing the commission’s examinations illegal.
The court gave the remarks that the contracted officers cannot claim for making their appointments permanent after the completion of their contract.
The court said the process for the appointment of employees in Grade-16 and above is clear. The court ordered Chief Secretary (CS) Sindh to present the list of employees regularised without the commission’s examinations. The court also ordered the cancellation of regularisations of all those officers of Grade-16 and above who were regularised without commission exams.
