Three persons die in separate incidents in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD   -  A young woman and her mother were killed while her husband was injured in a road mishap in the area of Jaranwala police station. 

Police spokesman said on Friday that Amanat Ali along with his wife Pathani Bibi and her mother Zainab resident of Chak No.20 Balochan Syedwala was going on a motorcycle when their two-wheeler slipped due to overspeed. As a result, Pathani Bibi and her mother Zainab received serious injuries and died on-the-spot while Amanat Ali was shifted to hospital in a critical condition. 

The police took bodies into custody and started investigation.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a delivery man of a pizza shop was shot dead over resistance during a robbery in the area of Mansoorabad police station. 

A police spokesman said on Friday that Zainul Abideen of Chak No 203-RB Malikpur, was working as a delivery man at a local pizza shop and he was returning home early in the morning after performing his duty when some robbers intercepted him at Malikpur Road near Kashmir Road. 

The outlaws snatched motorcycle of the delivery man. When he offered resistance, they opened fire and shot him dead. The police took the body into custody and started investigation for arrest of the accused.

Body found from canal

Body of a youth was found from Gogera Branch Canal in the area of Gojra police station. 

Police spokesman said here on Friday that some passersby witnessed a human corpse floating on surface of water in Gogera Branch Canal and informed the area police. The police rushed the spot and fished out the body which was later on identified as Qamar Abbas (20) resident of Chak No.180-GB. 

The youth went missing from Adda Moongi Bungalow one day ago.

 The police dispatched the corpse to mortuary for postmortem. Further investigation was underway, spokesman added.
