Abbottabad - Officials of Education Department said on Saturday that more than 500 schools had been whitewashed while authorities would soon provide other missing facilities to the premises to.
The statistics were shared at a meeting of the district steering committee of the Education Department, with deputy commissioner in the chair.
Those present at the meeting included District Monitoring Officer Education Monitoring Authority Ansar Mahmood, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Tariqullah, District Education Officer (male), and District Education Officer (female).
The Deputy Commissioner asked assistant commissioner Abbottabad to demarcate the primary schools in Bagh, Sherbai Syedan, Dheri Meera, Khokhar and other areas of the district.
He briefed the CEOs (both male and female) on the cleanliness of schools, whitewash, according to which 200 schools for girls and 295 for schools have been whitewashed. He also ordered procurement of furniture for the schools.
