Lady police to be deployed at majalis

LAHORE Senior Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister, Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has directed that lady police and volunteers should be deputed in Majalis and nobody should be allowed to enter in Majalis without proper search. He also directed that adjacent streets to the Majalis places should be properly closed for common vehicles and security personals may be appointed so that to stop entrance of doubted persons in Majalis. He asked the law enforcement agencies and administration to depute police officials in plain cloths, proper arrangements of lights, monitoring over the roofs and keeping continuous vigilant eye on the routes of Majalis and processions. He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting held regarding security arrangements during Muharam-ul-Haram. Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed, Minister Education Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Minister Law Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to CM Jehanzaib Barki, Malik Muhammad Riaz, MPAs, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Zaeem Qadri, Sujah Khanzada, Additional IG Police, Commissioner Lahore, officers of Law enforcement agencies, Secretary Home, and high ranking officials of concerned departments were also present on this occasion. Khosa said continuous monitoring of the arrangements made according to the local circumstances for maintenance of law and order, and complete harmony in the present situation particularly in Muharram. He said fool-proof arrangements of lighting at Majalis and on the routes of processions and cleanliness at local level should be ensure and no one should be allowed to enter in the limits of Majalis and procession without complete search.
