Four babus retirement notified

ISLAMABAD - The federal government on Friday issued notifications regarding the retirement of four senior bureaucrats besides appointing experts in their relevant fields on a contract basis.

According to the Establishment Division notifications, Muhammad Shahzad Arbab, a grade 22 officer of Secretariat Group, presently posted as Secretary State and Frontier Division, will retire from service on March 6, 2017.  Saifullah Chattha, a grade 22 officer of Secretariat Group, presently posted as Chief Secretary Balochistan, will retire on March 3, 2017.

Similarly, Mrs Talat Altaf Khan, a grade 21 officer of Secretariat Group presently posted as Managing Director, Printing Corporation of Pakistan under Cabinet Division, will retire from service on March 6, 2017. Senior Joint Secretary Sohail Qadeer Siddique will retire on February 3, 2017.

The federal government has appointed 10 experts at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform on contracts for two years against MP-1 scale posts. They include Asim Saeed as Project Director, Muhammad Athar Osma as Member Science, Technology and ICT, Naveed Ahmed as Member, Dr Muhammad Iqbal as Member Development and Communication, Miss Asima Hider as Member Social Sector and Devolution, Malik Ahmed Khan as Member Infrastructure and Regional Connectivity.

Similarly, Syed Aqeel Abbas Jaffri has been appointed as Chief Editor Urdu Dictionary Board Karachi on a contract for three years against MP-2 scale post, Khwaja Razi Haider has been posted as Director Quaid-Azam Academy for three years against MP-2 scale and Dr Nasir Abbas Nayyar has been appointed as Director General Urdu Science Board Lahore for three years.

The government has also issued a notification for the appointment of Dr Inam-ul-Haq as Managing Director National Book Foundation on a three years contract and Iftikhar Arif Ahmed has also been appointed Director General Language Promotion Department for three years.
